Overview
Just steps from the train station in Aguas Calientes, the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is a sanctuary of luxury rooms and casitas in tranquil, jungle-like setting. The shuttle ride up to Machu Picchu is about 20 minutes and the shuttles depart regularly from right near the hotel. The hotel also has superb gourmet cuisine, a lovely spa, and excellent wildlife viewing right on the hotel grounds. A fantastic option for your nights at Machu Picchu.
Experience
Below is how we generally recommend setting up stays at this property, but longer or shorter durations are also possible.
You'll take the train from the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes (just below Machu Picchu) today. On arrival you will be met by a representative of the Pueblo Hotel and escorted to your hotel. You will have time to relax or will make a privately-guided ruin visit, depending on your schedule.
You will spend your days at Machu Picchu exploring the citadel with your private guide. Aside from a traditional visit to the main area of the ruins, you will also have the opportunity to do one of the famous hikes, Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (either are a couple hours round trip).
You'll depart today for your next destination or to head home. Transportation will be scheduled accordingly.
